Lisa Ruble, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist, provides
individual and family therapy regarding social, emotional, and behavioral
concerns and support for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum
Disorders. Dr. Ruble also offers training to parents on techniques to address
concerns related to Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental
differences.
Dr. Ruble completed her Clinical Psychology Internship at the University of Minnesota Medical School and earned her doctorate degree from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 1998. She then served as a faculty member at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center, and subsequently at the Vanderbilt University Medical School's Department of Pediatrics Child Evaluation Center. In the clinical setting, Dr. Ruble's training and expertise led to establishing the Systematic Treatment of Autism and Related Disorders (STAR) Program at the University of Louisville in 2002; previously, as assistant professor from 1998 to 2002 at the Vanderbilt University Medical School Department of Pediatrics, she helped establish services at the Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD). In the academic setting, Dr. Ruble is a renowned autism researcher. Her research on services for children with autism was recognized by the National institute of Mental Health when she received the New Investigator's Award. She currently has a primary appointment as an Associate Professor of School Psychology at the University of Kentucky.
